Singing Routine

Singing Practice/Warm Up Routine:
POSTURE:
Feet apart; roll head in a circle; bring to rest upright.
 
BREATH CONTROL:
Breathe in for 4 counts; hold for 4 counts; sing out and hold the note for as long as you can.
 
VOICE PLACEMENT AND INTONATION:
Play any note in the Middle Range; then try 2 notes along; then 3, then 4 ect.

TONE:
‘Vee-ayy-arr-oo’ routine.
 
PROJECTION:
Arpeggios on different degrees of the scale; higher notes= louder; lower notes= quieter.

FLEXIBILITY:
Arpeggios on different degrees of the scale.
 
DICTION:
Routines which include ‘12345’, ‘Unique New York’ and ‘Red Lorry Yellow Lorry’.
 
RANGE:
Most of the other routines improve range.
